Voltmeter

I was driving on a 90 degree day. The voltmeter dropped to about 12.5 V. I played with turning electrical things on and off....... no change. The odd thing is that the voltage returned to about 14v (normal) when I let off the throttle. When everything cooled off and the drive home was cooler, the voltage was normal. What's with this ? The car is still under warranty so we will see what they say.

12.9 sounds a little low, though if i'm not mistaken, i believe newer vehicles turn the alternator on/off depending on engine loading/electrical demand to satisfy some sort of emissions requirements.

i know my '14 occasionally dips at sporadic times to 13v. though my scangauge ii is down by the shifter, so hard to get anything more than a glance at it from time to time.

My 2020 does the same thing. Worried me at first but the car always started and testing the battery after parking the car it was 13.6v .
