Pioneer AppRadio2 on sale at BestBuy

I've thinking about this as a replacement for the FR-S base unit:

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...o+2+(SPH-DA100)

Just happens to be on sale at Best Buy this week for $499 with free installation *and* free Android cable.

http://deals.bestbuy.com//car+marine...ndash+receiver

Not sure how the sound quality compares with the higher-end touch screen HU (AVH-P8400BH), but this is about the only HU I've seen that works with Android.

Preowned for $230 here. I'm waiting to see if it will support the turn by turn directions in ios6, if it does I'll probably get one. I played with one at Best Buy and was really impressed with it.

I think new/installed with cable (if you want the android cable) at $500 is probably still the better deal. Not sure if BB's "free installation" includes parts other than the HU.

385 free shipping.
And Im not sure if i would trust bestbuy to install my car electronics, i hear many bad stories (unclean installs, and headaches when trying to go back to troubleshoot), but ultimetly it comes down to the installer, and if you know them and trust them could be value in that.

And like what xjohnx said, they dont include all the neccessary items, and charge extra during the install if they need them.

I was looking at this deck before and the android kit is like $100 and installation and everything ran it upto around $800 when I looked at it last (I'm in Canada too, not sure if prices differ for parts/installation)

So it's a good deal.. however, watch reviews on youtube.. I didn't find many to be very good.. most of them said "great idea by pioneer, but not a quality product"

I'm waiting for Clarion Mirage

"APPRADIO" <> "APPRADIO2" - the 2 is a newer model.
Good point on the install parts.
I have seen good and bad reviews of BB installs - as you said, just depends on the guy doing the work.
