Techstream Issues

Hello. I recently picked up a 13 FRS. I already have techstream and an OBD cable that I used to make some changes in my Tacoma. I was hoping to modify some things on the FRS, everything seems to show up but when I go to adjust parameters nothing seems to show in the pop up windows. Upon further inspection it seems that there’s communication issues with the ECU. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Make sure the OBD port female pins are secure and tight against the male pins of the the tool. There are issues with the OBD ports in these cars. Experienced this with mine. You can use a pick tool to push the female pins in so they're tighter against the male pins.

Any chance you know which version? The one I got I found on the Tacoma forums. It was basically a cracked version opened with a key generator and has to be run offline in order for it to function lol. Works fine on the Tacoma but yea no go so far on the FRS

No idea what version, several years ago.

I had a problem with the OBD and got a Y splitter and it worked great. The reason for the Y was it was cheaper than an extender cable.

I recently had to set this up again and wound up using version 15.00.027 on an old Toughbook running Windows 7 32-bit. Pretty sure this is the one:

...there's separate links for the installer, drivers, and loader.
