opti-coat vs Gtechniq exo

Have to ask, I install both at my work and have personally used quite a few sealants, currrently my wifes Subaru has opticoat and my car has gtechniq I feel the gtechniq is far superior yet never hear anyone talking about it, it is way harder to come by our.company ordered direct from Europe and deals with customs and is more expensive. imo opticoat beads water like crazy but with gtechniq water just falls off the car. Anyone else have experience?

Never have used gtechniq but they do have a US supplier. I have seen their line offered on AutoGeek.

Yeah they just started carrying it but do not have exo, plus we save money buying direct we've spent enough money they give us a decent discount

Pmont, how much would you guys charge to apply this to a black fr-s and a 2011 crv? we have thought about having both of our new cars opti-coated, and would like to explore both options

Opti-Coat is a permanent coating. EXO is Semi-Permanent. Durability wise Opti-Coat will outshine, its also the cheaper one to get as EXO is something like $250 for a container. IMO go with whats tried, true and heavily tested.

How is the water sheeting on the EXO? My detailer has offered to use that instead of OptiCoat. I'm on the fence. I tried Wolfs Hard Body and that started showing water sheeting deficiency after 2 months. And that's with air drying a car only with compressed air. The only time I touch the paint is gently while washing with a wash mitt.

So if you could comment on it's water sheeting and general paint protection, that would be great!
