Need help, White dust in the exhaust
I came back from work today. When I got home I realized there is white dust inside my exhaust tips. The car felt fine. Checked for codes and nothing showed up. Any ideas or tips would be appreciated!

I was going to ask you what that white dust tastes like thinking it's road salt, but I see that you're in Mexico.
I'll guess maybe coolant residue from a possible blown head gasket? |

OHH noo. I thought about it. Did the basic checks, no brown oil, no coolant discolor, no white smoke, no overheating. I guess ill take it to the mechanic shop this week for further inspection.

I had the cat in my stock header fail at one point and it covered the entire rear bumper of the car with dust that looked just like that.

Hello,
I was curious if you ever figured out what was causing the white dust. I had exactly the same thing happen to my car this past weekend. Also nothing weird with the oil or coolant. I’m suspecting a damaged cat. Eager to hear what you learned. Thanks, Mark |
