Have you guys driven the automatic?

I think it's pretty hard to go wrong with either transmission.

agree....ive put my deposit down for an auto white fr-s upgraded audio at dvn toyota....i test drove both...honestly it depends on how ur gonna use the car. If you are going to track or autocross it everyweek then manual for sure. But for many of us as a DD the auto is good enough and is fast enough.

I'd go further and say that you're not even giving anything up by going with the automatic at all.... its *that* good.

ur giving the straight line performance up! but again this is not wat the car is about.....well i guess u kinda lost part of the direct feel but then u get the downshift rev match...which is awesome for a 25k car!...27k for auto....

There's nothing wrong with the automatic transmission. It's just that, I don't want to pay the extra 2k grand for the automatic transmission. I'd rather get the manual instead.

With this car how can you not get a manual? I have a 6mt as a dd and it's not that bad, even in traffic. The automatic is great and all but save that for the lesser scions. This successor to the ae86 deserves a manual.

For some of us, it's not about how good the AT is, of which I have no doubt, it's wanting to be engaged with driving like you are with a manual. Doesn't bother me in the least using a manual as a daily driver.

Drove the auto before during my test drive and it wasn't bad. Still prefer manual for this car. I guess I'll wait.
