ETA vs Ship Date?
My Dealer let me know that the date shown on the pipeline was August 6th. They were trying to determine whether or not this was an ETA or a Ship Date.
Can anyone tell me when they got their car +/- the day that they were told? Or the difference between the statuses on a VON? "Waitlist", "ETA", "Ship Date" etc. |

I was told it would be at the dealership on August 6th, and it arrived August 4th. The dealer never mentioned how he knew and I never checked my VON with SOA.

That's the ETA from Subaru to the dealer for delivery of your vehicle. If they're tagged as sold, they'll arrive a few days to a week early (mine was exactly 1 week early). I'm surprised your dealer was confused about this.

ETA is only an estimate. I had an eta of 8/6 (many did because of that special number) but got it 1 week earlier than eta. Also when i called SOA for status, they were able to give me actual status as my salesman did (shipped rail) and SOA gave me exact date when my BRZ was loaded to the train (7/20). My salesman also immediately called me as soon as the car was offloaded from the truck to the dealer. It went smooth despite the 4 month wait. Soa even gave me $500 off coupon towards new subaru w/c expires in 4 years. If the BrZ treats me right my next car will be another subie or toybaru w same salesman if he hasnt retired. Patience is virtue. I cud have had a dgm or wrb 6at premium as early as May, but I stuck with my orig order and waited for the color , trim & trans that I want. And i got it w/o hassle of off-state transaction like some fellow Texans did.

I was told 8/9. When it didn't here, my ETA changed to 9/10. YMMV. I probably won't get a coupon -_-
