Gramlights 57Pro refurb help

Picked up a set of used Gram Lights 57Pro. Looking for some help/advice on how to refurb the lip on these. Tried metal polish. Not sure what to call the spider-webbing, is the clear coat corroding?

From what limited information I could find via google, I think I have to strip or wet sand the lip and apply a new clear coat? Anyone have any experience, knowledge, recommendations? Thanks in advance!

*please don't mind the gap

The coating is coming off, you won't restore it without sanding it all down and polishing/re-painting

The clearcoat on the silver polished aluminum is failing. This is comin in areas with salted roads or from using strong cleaners on the wheels. the gray is oxidized aluminum.
It will be hard to strip the clearcoat from the polished area and not from the gold. Using an abrasive course enough to cut the clearcoat but not make re polishing the aluminum difficult will take a lot of time.
Consider a chrome type paint, clean, buff, and coat.
Yes it can be done correctly, remove the tires protect the gold and take your time. The fact that the gold runs around the whole inner rim is going to be the hard part. Re polishing into the crevice all around the rim, not fun.
