Question Question about buying parts

Hello,
I just wanted to double check before buying parts for my 2013 FR-S and was wondering if I were to purchase parts from Subaru (searched 2013 BRZ) if the BRZ parts would be compatible with my FR-S?

I know that Scion is under Toyota and I can specially search for FR-S parts on their website, but the part I’m looking for is cheaper when going through Subaru and I just wanted to make sure if a BRZ’s engine parts would work on an FR-S of the same year.

The part I’m looking at is the engine variable valve timing solenoid (VVT) if that helps.

Yes, it is the same between models. I'm not sure if the year matters though.

It’ll work. The cars underneath are identical.

Only a select handful of cosmetic parts (specifically related to the front bumpers) won’t work, along with a few other misc. items.

Suspension was always a bit different.

Just the shocks and springs. The rest is the same.

If we’re gonna nitpick, then sure. But they are interchangeable between vehicles, which is what was obviously meant in response to the original question.

Badges were also different. As were center caps, airbag cover, seats, dash trim, gauge cluster etc.

I just wanted to clarify the blanket statement where someone reading this might infer that you can go grab a stock Subaru damper to replace a damaged stock Scion damper and it would have the same parameters.
