OFT Screen not "on" after boot - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I want to preface by saying I am suspecting cable/connectivity issues but just want to get some input before I drop ~$80 on a new cable.

I am seeing an issue when the tablet successfully boots up by showing the "OS is loading" text but afterwards, I do not see anything, just a black screen. I can tell I am in the main menu of the tablet, as I can tap the screen in the general location of where the menu items would be and I hear the "selected" sound. When I unplug the tablet, the unit shows the screen for a brief second.

Has anyone else had similar issues?

its a known issue, software bug

i've heard some people complain about the frs obd2 connector being cheep. Not sure if its true but its just a thought.
