I just saw a $39,000 FR-S...
Argento manual, sticker price was $26,300 or so, not sure what the $1000 port add-on was.
Dealer add-ons were(approximate prices): 5-Axis kit - $4995 wing - $495 Katzkin leather - $1995 Pioneer DVD Nav - $3000 18" wheels/tires - $2895 Add all that up and it's well over $39k, but I'm pretty sure the sticker said $38k, almost $39k, so they must have removed $1k somewhere. I have to say the leather did look nice, but the straps concern me as they look easier to rip than the stock strap, and it had a soft material at the top sides of the seat where your shoulders are that seems like it will get dirty or ripped quickly. And for $2000, it is obviously significantly marked up over the $1400 leather jobs their tC's have. Overall it was a great looking vehicle, but $42000 after TT&L is insane! You'd have to really really want an FR-S specifically, to avoid all the other choices available in that price range. Last edited by fistpoint; 08-06-2012 at 10:37 PM. |

A fool and his money are soon parted! For that type of cash, the damned thing had better be SC'd or Turbo'd!

I don't know about the springs for the 5-Axis actually. But I just went back and read a thread I participated in that said the 5-Axis Edition which includes all the pieces is $5000, including the wheels/tires and lip spoiler. Also, it had a wing, not a lip spoiler like I originally said.
So, I would like to assume the car I saw does include the springs for that price especially since they appear to be charging again for the wheels/tires and the wing that they replaced from what appears to be a complete 5-Axis Edition. Lastly, again, I "assume" the Pioneer unit was nothing more than the Bespoke option that should cost around $845, not $3000! It could have been a different top of the line Pioneer unit(I doubt it), but it would still be 3 times the price anyone normal person could get it for. |

Still seems somewhat 'affordable' compared to racking up options in a Porsche these days...
![]() Regardless... When I see extra options like those in the opening post, I definitely see additional $$$ for the dealer!

I did more stuff to one than that. Not priced yet, but I'm sure it will be more than that.
Stuff costs money. Jeff

I imagine yours with as you claim "more stuff", is exactly that, MORE STUFF. It isn't the same as less stuff for the same price. |
