Apex AP-0: 2645lb 649HP Electric Sports Car
A cheap and light electric sports car will be the last thing to come our way, but at least we can start to imagine the possibilities with this light weight electric sports car (I'm thinking more like a sub 2800lb car like the BMW i3, but a sports car with 200-250hp and 200-250 miles of range).

I'll be impressed if it gets released with a weight of 2645lb/1200kg.

Exactly. The BMW i3 weighs 2635lbs with a 42kWh battery. This thing is suppose to have more than double that size with a larger induction motor too.

I love this thing so much.
IMO, drop the HP to like 300 - 350, keep the weight, somehow make it cheaper, and I would be so ready to get into one of these...

The i3 is also a really tall vehicle or thin vehicle rather. I'd imagine a more flat/wider vehicle would be able to support a wider battery pack. Not to mention the i3 is a little old now, battery tech might have a break through sometime in the future.
