Modify spacing on Cusco pedal?

I have tiny feet. When I put on driving shoes, I swear they get smaller. Hence any two-pedalling with my right foot is not really happening.

I'm looking at the Cusco pedal and the Verus spacer, and wondering if anyone has simply upped the thickness of the pad material supplied with the Cusco pedal. I have access to thicker materials up to 1/2“ and am thinking that this would be enough with the wider pedal.

My experience (not exactly with cusco's though) with neoplot pedal (still wider and slightly closer to driver) + verus spacer was that both were overkill. Together they got TOO close, too easy to mispress both. Tried alone them, left with just verus spacer.
Remember that later not just moves pedal closer to brake and lower to floor, but also closer to driver, by it's 1" thickness. Imho no need for any extra padding/widened side plate and such, as adding those will make it too much, too close and so on, just now in other direction (if you already have installed spacer).

No spacer yet. Not sold on it yet.

Thank you for the feedback!
