BRZ spoiler on the 86

I picked up my BRZ spoiler from my local Subaru dealer - if you are in Perth chat to Reece at City Subaru on Albany Hwy in Vic Park. Apparently Subaru Australia have between 8 and 10 of each colour at the moment. I ordered it Friday, it arrived today!

It comes prepainted, and was $535.

Unboxing pics for you - this thing is going to be solidly mounted - it requires 7 holes and lots of sticky too, although it looks like 3 of the mounts can probably be removed.

Came with all mounting hardware including struts for the boot and very detailed instructions.

I'm getting it fitted on Wednesday - will posts pics once done.

Probably because the extra weight of the spolier on the boot lid is sufficient that it won't stay open by itself anymore.

So the standard struts are not good enough?? Or does the Subaru not have struts? Just asking cause my GTS already has struts on the boot lid!!

I just installed my wing yesterday. The new struts are replacements for the stock struts. They are a little firmer to compensate for the extra weight of the wing so the lid doesn't fall on your head when it's open. The wing is so light though, I don't even see why they bother to include it.

Nice, I got mine installed last week. I heard the part doesn't come with a template so I don't know how they installed it but it looks perfect.

Looking at the install instructions, I don't think the BRZ has struts - there is nothing that says remove old struts.

I'd love to see a white 86/BRZ with a black TRD or this spoiler - I think it might look really good.

Or maybe a carbon fibre one.

Ah cool, I read someone on here bought one and didn't get the template. I ordered through the dealer so I never saw the box.
