Dear Grandma



I think I finished the overall design of my project for you. It has just enough subtle and just enough aggression to sum up you and I. People ask about the color a lot. I tell them that it was to resemble the innocence of our relationship, taking it back to a time where you and I just rolled a bouncy ball back and forth between our legs.


I didn't go crazy wide body, but I still think there is a better kit out there for me to show you.


Since taking this car back home in July, 2016, I've always wanted to build it to my final dream, how I saw it finished in my head and taking it to you to admire. So many people had so much to say, both good and bad, but the only opinion I care about the most is yours.



I'm even prouder to tell you the mass majority of the work was done by myself.

I remember taking my bumpers and body pieces up to my apartment just to wrap it when I had nowhere else to go.

I remember learning the math of width, spacing and diameter and how it affects me when going wide.

I remember giving up hope when a Craigslist seller sold me a bad trunk with poorly threaded holes, but I also remember learning how to tap and dye that very next day and fixing that issue.

Painting in weird places, wide body cut-ups in 4 hours and endless re-wrapping just to get it right.



The amount of fame was amazing. I started a clothing line called Driftset (driftset.net), and people wanted to be involved as a car group! I've inspired drivers and enthusiasts everywhere!
