BRZ wheel bearings same as 86?

I need replacement bearings (hub/bearing assy) for both front wheels on my '19 86. The dealer quote was insane, so I took my car to a BRZ specialist shop who says they deal with FRS's all the time too, and they told me they can get me Subaru wheel bearings for a much better price. The guy told me they are the same bearings in both cars, or at least totally compatible, but I'm curious what you all know about that?

Should be covered under warranty.

What do you do with your car that a '19 needs new wheel bearings?

Reminds me of a dark, rainy night, back in California, when I left a lady friends party, after "a few beers" - in my new MGB-GT. I discovered I was going the wrong direction, so I quickly pulled into a large, empty, parking lot - trouble was that where I pulled in, wasn't an entrance nor an exit -

If you hit hard enough to ruin the bearings, I'd be worried about other parts being broken too. Wheels would be toast, shocks might be damaged, I'd also check the strut towers and subframe for possible bends.

Thanks, yeah, I had it checked out by the dealer and another shop, and the only damage is one bent wheel and bad bearings. It wasn't too bad, the bearings aren't destroyed, they are just making a light humming noise at freeway speed. The BRZ shop I took it to says if I replace the bearings and wheel then I should be good to go.

Still kicking myself over it. One second of too much throttle and I'm now over 2 months and $1k in the hole and it still isn't fixed. Every day I worry that more things are slightly damaged than the shops found and it will never be as good as stock again. Seriously hard to let go of the frustration. I wonder if I'll ever have peace of mind that it's fully fixed.

If it is helps to know I have had the inside tires of my car airborne on many occasions with no issues

The main part I think would take the brunt of that would be the brace that goes from the rear of the lower control arm to the frame. It is just stamped sheet metal, though it is fairly thick for what it is.
