Help with Tomei Overpipe!

Hey guys so I’m about to install my Tomei overpipe but I wanted to ask you guys how did you torque down the studs onto the overpipe? Do I install it on the header first and then torque down the studs? Or do I try and torque the studs down first then install them on the header? It says use double nut at 29.4NM which is about 20ft lbs but when I torque it down the torque wrench caps at that spec and I’m afraid of going further in case of breaking the studs.. Please help thnx!

I followed the instructions and torqued the stud onto the Tomei OP using the double nut method. If I had to do it again I'd back it off to 15 lb-ft or even less. At 20 lb-ft, the threads on one of the studs got stretched a bit, and I'll have to replace that stud at some point.

I think even if you hand snug the stud onto the OP, it'll get tightened down as you torque that end of the OP to the FP.
