I know there have been many speculations on the engine, body and price of the car, but not much has been said about the cabin of the car. I know the ft 86 is to follow its predecessors line of being a tuning car but I would also like to see it have some fun instruments in it too. Ofcourse nothing that makes the price sky rocket but something nice too.
Discuss how you feel about the current cabin design, personally I love it to death and also discuss where something like a Mmc/gps unit would go in the dash since its unique design. |

What kind of "fun instruments" are you speaking of?

the one feature that I liked out of the original FT86 concept was the map in the middle of the gauge cluster. I doubt it'll make it into production, but it was neat. That, and being able to record your track data and upload it to Gran Turismo so you can race against your own times in the game.

Getting a built in accelerometer would be kind of neat, a la G-TECH Pro or something similar in the gauge cluster. Although I'd be content with a iphone connector standard.

I would prefer to not have a digital speedometer, only because it's one more electronic that can break. A digital dash would be cool for maybe a year or two, but I could see it getting annoying for night driving.

I'm a huge fan of automatic climate control. I don't like to fiddle with stuff while I'm driving. Also, I plan to put remote start on my next car. Having auto climate is really convenient when you use remote start. Automatic headlights and windshield wipers are nice too, but less important.
Of course I realize that we probably won't get these things at this price point. I expect the cabin and features to be on par with the Scion tC. |

This would be pretty pimp. Seen the demo of this thing with an IS-F, it is awe inspiring. There's supposed to be a vid on you tube **edit** |

Hmm.. whatever happened to heads-up displays (HUD)? Had one of those in an old pontiac (lol) but it was pretty cool.

Im guessing the current scion tc interior but think one better. We cant expect too much inside at the price point we are hoping for. A Nav/mp3 interface would be nice though. Would love to just leave a flash drive in my car for music.

Only thing I'd really want is a USB interface for MP3s.

I'd like to have that feature as well. I don't think people still use CD players. o_O

I'd want a usb port, only if it supported more devices than flash drives and ipods (i.e. windows phone, zune, etc.) Otherwise, i'll be more than happy with an aux port.
Please no fully integrated cd system like on the mk1 interior!

+1...I use a cassette to 3.5mm jack to plug my iPod into. I would rather have a cassette player than a CD player.
One neat feature would be the '86' logo on the steering wheel. |
