Did donuts, turned off car, turn on car, rough idle, died, no code
Now it wont start. It cranks but wont start. Push start and it wont idle or stay alive at all, and when i feather throttle it does nothing.
No code on my oft People think i starved the fuel pump. Gonma check fuses, try starter fluid, check fuel pump connections, then spark plugs. Any other suggestions/wisdom? Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk |

There’s a fuel cut when the car thinks it crashed. I spun backwards once and it wouldn’t start for ~30secs

Lmao that happened to me once in my old Mini. I didn’t do donuts obv but I thrashed it to within an inch of its life and it started sounding like it was dying. Turned it off for a while and it was fine

Happened last night, tried repriming by turning it on and off a bunch before igniting, still didnt work
I sprayed starter fluid and itll start and run if i keep my foot on the gas but itll die on idle Getting some ethanol in a tank to make the fuel pumps job easier and then ima just feather throttle i think itll be fine Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk |

For posterity:
Yes it worked. Took about 6 tries. The first 2 times it wouldn't respond to gas After the 3rd time if i feathered throttle it would respond but i tried to let it idle too early. On the last try i sat there for 5 min keeping it around 1.5RPM and when i let it go it dipped to 500, and then went to idle. Since ethanol runs richer than 91 or 93 the fuel pump issue is more likely to occur. Its been a full day and ive been driving and its fine Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk Last edited by Lav; 07-13-2024 at 07:28 PM. |

This happened a few more times after this incident. In case anyone finds this thread.
If you have a half tank and you donut to one side for too long, something happens. My guess is that the straw that sucks up the fuel gets stuck on the side of the tank? idk. But put it to full tank, prime pump, and feather throttle and it will work. |
