where to purchase headlights ballast?

Hi All,

I just purchased headlights for my 2018 BRZ, and I gave it to auto shop to install.
They said they need ballasts to install these headlights...
I have googled and searched in ebay, but I couldn't find ballasts for 2018 BRZ.... found only for 2014-2016.

Anyone knows where to purchase ballasts for 2018..?

FYI, headlights that I purchased:

the outer lens says that it uses a H7 halogen bulb. ballasts are not required for halogen bulbs.

what you purchased is a cheap aftermarket headlamp that uses cheap bulbs to save costs.

And removed fairly decent full LED lamps to install them.

no matter, it's cheaper than the $850-1200 i'm seeing for the oem part...

The description on those headlights is very vague and do not clearly state halogen/HID/LED.

If you find that these truly are HID projectors, you should buy some aftermarket D2S ballasts, instead of the factory D4S. From what I've read, D4S are more eco-friendly and less bright while D2S consume more power and are brighter.

while your bulb information is correct, spyder auto has never manufactured a hid-spec projector. they use off-the-shelf halogen projectors in everything they sell. it's a cost cutting measure.
