Which new 200 treadwear tires and a steel wheel question...

I have a 17 BRZ Limited with the performance package. It’s a DD but I only drive 3 miles to work and I plan on trying some autocross events this summer for the first time. A friend has a new set of Nitto NT05’s that I can pick up for a really good deal. They’re 225/45-17 and I’d prefer 235/40-17’s, but I can make it work. Would these suit my needs and does anyone daily on those Nitto’s?

Second, does anyone make a steel wheel yet that will accommodate the Brembo calipers that come with the performance package? In the last 4 months with Ive lost two of the stock Michelin’s due to poor roads. The first was a pothole and the second was partially my fault (ran over a small bolt and didn’t notice the TPMS light...straight stretch doing 45mph the car gave no indication there was an issue until I smoked the inside sidewall). Through winter and until winter road damage is repaired I’d love to have a steel wheel and tire with a little more meat. Appreciate it!
