Radio LED turning on

Hi guys!
My 2016 BRZ's radio LCD randomly turned black when i swapped to reverse pulling into my driveway when it should have shown the backup camera.... I turned my car off and on and it still wont come back on. The red LED's on my head unit still light up red but the screen is just black... any ideas? I checked the radio fuse and swapped it with the spare but it did nothing...
I also have random issues with my lights not turning off fully even when i lock the doors (killed my battery once). Is this a battery issue or somehow the wiring got loose?

That's an odd one.
Have you done anything recently to the backup camera,
Installed a new sub and amp?

The headlights not turning off is a bad sign. Either your on the auto light settings or you got a bad wire somewhere.

If your handy with multi meter you can hunt it down. If not I would take it to a shop.

no i dont have any mods nor touched the backup camera, just an exhaust.
(double tapping the car door locks didnt do anything like it should to turn all the lights off)
I manually had to toggle my headlights from auto to off for it to finally turn off the dashboard/headlights when the car engine was off.

I don't have a multimeter here unfortunately,
would a dealership be able to fix this? would it cost an arm and leg?

Yes a dealership would fix it, but here's the thing you don't need to go to a dealership.

Any local mechanic shop can do the same work for usually less.

I don't know how much depends on what was the problem. Could be a simple as a lose ground wire or fuse, the price is reflected on time it took to hunt down the problem.

The lights stay on if a door is open. I bumped the trunk release once and they stayed on.

No help on the radio. Maybe it turns the camera off with the truck open as well?

So it seems that the touch screen and audio is still on since my Bluetooth still works. just the screen wont turn on, so its ..powered but not fully powered???

i think i understand that, thats why when you turn off the car -> tap ur lock button on keyfob twice the lights should all turn off. not sure if its worth trying to mess with the electricals myself

i think i understand that, thats why when you turn off the car -> tap ur lock button on keyfob twice the lights should all turn off. not sure if its worth trying to mess with the electricals myself

If I hit lock twice the lights turn off and the horn honks, instead of the beep.

With the trunk (or a door) open the lights stay on and it won’t honk.
