How accurate?

Hi everyone, I was wondering how accurate has SOA been on their estimated car arrival if you didnt have a VIN yet? I ask cause I called them today and they said my car is expected at the end of september which Im pretty unhappy about as you would imagine considering I ordered back in march.
Thanks

I don't think most of their phone staff have access to much detail, just the ability to see if it's on the lines, or done and waiting to be shipped.

No one had any idea on my original order, also in march. I cancelled it and just found one that's already built enroute to another state.

I called a local dealer just to inquire about the BRZ.. the lady told me straight up I could order one now, but I'd have to wait until 2014 to recieve it.

She's high. There are BRZ's on dealers lots. You just have to do some digging. At least there were 3 weeks ago or so. I had found 6-7 within 2 hours of me.

This. Keep in mind, I wasn't picky about color. I had an order that was ETA'd in October, but I found a similar car just in a different color, and bought it for MSRP in July.

It probably didn't hurt that SWP is one of the more popular colors, so more were likely produced. The thing I didn't want to budge on was the Limited trim and the MT.

Maps, you have to be due soon if you ordered in March. I never talked to SOA, but I went from 'sometime in June' when I ordered to an estimated vague August date from my dealer to 'oh, your car is here tomorrow' on 7/22 to 'ok, we lied, it'll be the day after tomorrow'. If your car isn't in by early Sept at the latest, then you are severely overdue for a proper answer (though I'd say you are overdue as is by now).

As some of you suggested to search around, Im in Los angeles, CA and there isnt jack for a good 3-400 miles. The messed up part is there are listing but of ones that are taken already so thats a big tease lol I even thought about getting an FRS, but that pesky scion emblem got to me, not to mention the lack of goodies too lol

Im just hoping that SOA is just guessing cause sept is too far away

Yea, this is how I feel calling the "800" number to dealership.. there must be a person OTHER than the clerk who answers the phone who's more knowledgeable & helpful.
