Wanting to do an Engine Swap
I want to swap the engine out of my 2013 FR-S to the Crawford Proformance FA20. I was wondering what would be recommended to replace ahead of time to prevent breaking things down the road.

This is a terrible post. You need more information; add what mods you have, what your power goals are, how you plan to get there... So many lacking details to even begin to answer this question.

Does a built block count as an 'Engine Swap'?

People in the "swap section" of this forum will most likely suggest you ditch the FA20 motor all together.

I think OP wants a fully built engine. I mean, if you build a second engine on a stand, when you are done building it, you simply swap it in...

If you're going from FA20 to FA20, just take the original out and put your built engine in. By definition of the word, it is a "swap", but this forum usually considers a swap as a different engine code being mounted in the car. You may want to try the "Engine, Exhaust, Transmission" subforum first. Also SEARCH before you post. There are others with built blocks.
