WHICH SIZE ENKEI? 18x9.5 VS. 18x8

Hey you filthy rascals, what size gold ts10's should I get and why? Must be gold 10 spokes(subie fanboy), open to ideas.
Tire rack has the 18x8 +45 5x100
Subispeed has the 18x9.5 +35 5x114.3

I'd need spacers to convert to the 114.3. I believe no clearance issues for either.
'13 brz, silver, jrsc boosted. OEM suspension.
Daily driver, not concerned about putting power down bc I have a 200whp s1000rr.
The extra few hundred for the 9.5 and spacers isn't concerning, but the ease of 5x100 is attractive.
What would you do and why?

18x9.5 +35 5×114.3 + a conversion spacer is really aggressive. (meaning they are going to poke!) Not saying it can't work, but it will take a bunch of suspension parts.

18x8 +45 5x100 will simply bolt on. Additionally, If you wanted a more flush look, you could just bolt on some spacers to these wheels. Really easy.

you might need a slight drop to be able to utilize 9.5's in the rear.

I'd like to do 9.5 for aesthetics, but if it's too much hastle I'll do 18x8. It seems like I'll have to do spacers either way bc the 8's will need 20mm to be flush like oem?

I've looked at the TS-10's too, but to clear the brembos, and they offered a staggered setup of 18x8 in the front, and 18x8.5 in the rear on the 5x100s. That might get you that flush look in the rear without having to do too much crazy work.

The car will be more fun to drive with 18x8s.

After looking at the available sizes and considering your desire to not mess with your suspension; I think that you should get 5x100 ENKEI TS10's in 17x8, 18x8 or 18x8.5. With the available offsets, they will all bolt on stock suspension.

You don't need spacers.

Without spacers a 18x8 +45 will poke 15mm more than a 17x7+48 OEM wheel.

Without spacers a 18x8.5 +45 will poke 22mm more than a 17x7+48 OEM wheel.

Perfect, thanks leo. I was I bit caught up bc the ft86speedfactory wheel fit video @2:05 says that 18x9.5 +35 fit stock suspension so long as you mount a skinnier 245/35 tire.

This is true; a 18x9.5 +35 will bolt on with stock suspension. But, the TS10 is available in 18x9.5 5x100 +45. This will not bolt on stock suspension. It would require spacers, extended studs, possibly open ended lug nuts, and installation of the parts.

You could run a 245/35 on the 18x8.5 +45 TS10. It would sit square on the wheel and not rub.

Also, I wouldn't call a 245/35/18 skinny... I run them on 18x9's, and they are only slightly stretched.

They actually are available in 18x9.5 +35 114.3
http://www.subispeed.com/2015-subaru...i#.XGMLKstOk0M

But I would need he 114.3 converter and the smallest ft86sf has is 11mm, which might work, but it might push it too far out to the fender
http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/proj...l#.XGMKd8tOk0M
But I'm leaning towards the 18x8 +35 100 from tire rack because it just seems like more a direct replacement, no spacers, no hassle.

I know that, but our cars are 5x100. Additionally, a 18x9.5 +45 5x100 wheel and a 10mm spacer will fit way better than a 5x114.3 +35 wheel and a 11mm bolt on spacer/adapter.

Why are you looking at 5x114.3 wheels?

Enkei does not list a 18x8 +35 TS10 on their website.

The Method 503 is also an 18x8 with a +42 offset and a similar look. Not a huge difference...I think you'd be fine with either one.
