Anyone take GRE's?

So I decided to stop slacking and finally pick up a GRE study guide book...thing. I told myself wheels/tires/springs would be a present to myself if I got into the phd program I'm shooting for.

I was hoping there were some members here that could give me any specific tips? Everything online is incredibly generic; "get the book, study, relax, take the test, relax, ???, profit". Might be a shot in the dark since scientific phd students/graduates are becoming a rare minority these days but I figured I'd try to see if I could get my fellow ft86 brethren to give any and all advice.
