Broken open flash tablet.

Hello guys!
First of all, this post might not be in the right section, admin are welcome to move it and secondly, my English is quite poor (living in Sweden).

Anyway... Ordered and got my oft for a while ago, was very satisified and got some extra punch to the car. My obd-contact had some connection issues though, so i did some research and found out that many have had the same problem. Bought a new connector and that solved the problem. Last weekend i was about to instal the e85 tune, and when i was about to input the cable to the tablet the contact snapped! The contact snapped from it fittings. Just unplugged everything again and sended a message to open flash performance, added some pictures and updated with Id number after but has not yet get any respond.

I have the whole tank filled up with e85 and are not able to get the tune for my car... What do you guys recomend? Should i open the tablet and try refit the contact, or should i wait and hope to get respons soon? Need the car for My daily driving to my work, so i really need to find some alternatives soon.

Any ideas or tips?

Cheers guys!

Mind posting the pictures here as well? using imgur? @steve99 might be able to explain a work around.

I wonder how hard you must have been pressing to break it off the OFT or the car, definitely doesn't need alot of force to disconnect or reconnect mine. It should still be under warranty hopefully otherwise you might need another OFT, I'd wait for contact from openflash

Here you have some pictures of the connection. As you might see, the contact is moved about 2 mm.

Well, i have been connecting the cable a lot of times, just because it wasn't able to sync with the ecu, didn't know that it was the obd port in the car that that was the problem. However i was very gentle, and didn't force or trickled it at all.

That makes sense, FYI I always keep the cable plugged into the OFT, disconnecting it from that side really doesn't really help anything, disconnecting from the car is whats important. What's probably the issue was some BRZ/FRS/86 had some badly connected/pinned OBD-II ports that need to be rewired to have a better connection.

Yeah, i know. But first i thought it was the tablet. Tested everything, until i found out that i was the OBD-II that was the issue... Well i hope open flash performance should give me some respons soon. Otherwise i will have to unplug the tank.

since you have gone this far, take it to a computer repair shop and see if they can re solder the connecter.

Yes i have left the tablet to a computer center, they should fix it. So i guess it hopefully will work properly after it is resolded.
I have tried to get in contact with open flash performance, and first today they answered me..i will restore my car to original, and buy ecutek instead. Not impressed by openflash performance att all...

Well that's sad to here, I've had no issue with OFT ever, even when I've messed with the tunes heavily. What were your performance issues?
