Pandem Body Kit BRZ
Hi guys, i purchased my 2017 brz almost a year ago now, and love almost everything about the car. I always thought the car looked great, but as soon as i saw this body kit From Pandem, i knew i had to get it https://pandemusa.com/products/pande...nt=19607522437
I've only just recently started becoming more interested in cars and my general knowledge on the subject is border lining nothing, so apologies if this question might be silly. I was wondering if with a body kit like this, there needs to be anything i should consider? i.e are coils/springs necessary, are the wheels that come with the 2017 sports pack sufficient enough to be used with the body kit? And just in case there a fellow Australian in here, i wanted to know if a kit like this would be street legal in Melbourne. Thanks guys. |

So there would be a number things to consider. With a wide body that means cutting the quarters and fenders plus drilling and riveting the fenders/quarters for the kit to attach to the body. Second would be how do you want the final look to be and what wheel gap? Depending the way you want to go bags or coils would be best to get the look you want. Stock height would look a bit funny. And how wide are your tires? They recommend I believe a 10-12 inch wide tire front / back to fill the gap from the wide body. Now about the street legal thing I cannot answer.

Not even worth the effort to use my typical
LET ME GOOGLE THAT FOR YOU reply.... I am going to do my best to dissuade you. 1. Hope your willing to drop another 10-15k into the car to do the kit right. You need the kit, a body shop, paint, wheels, suspension. 2. You will butcher the cars fenders doing this and destroy any resell value. Then again, a sucker is born every minute. 3. "Subjective" Unless your pushing a good amount of power this kit pushes the car into ricer land. |

@Onz
There is a lot to go with body kit. You need new suspension including lower controll arms, you need most probably custom wheels as they dont sell wheels with low offset in 5x100. You need cutting if the car, fitting, painting and yor car will be quite a bit slower with all that weight and tire. Don't do it unless you have allready spent 20k on mods and the body kit is just a chery on top of the cake. |

Street legal in Australia? No. Is it engineerable? Doubtful. You live in one of the 2 most policed states in the country. It will only be a matter of time until you get red labelled.

You will probably need wheels similar to these: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129444
Or just get good rubber and enjoy the car as-is. Please?
