Wiseco - Accelerated Performance Turbo Forged Piston Set

Accelerated Performance is proud to announce another new product for the FA20 Engine. I supplied Wiseco with the parts required some while ago to make piston sets for the FA20 Engine. This particular piston drawing will be the turbo variation of an off the shelf Wiseco Piston and something in the 10-10.5:1 Variety.

There will be off the shelf versions and custom AP Spec Versions of the pistons. The AP versions will use advancements we have learned from our on and off road racing programs.

We are looking to create something very similar in strength to our Toyota 2jz pistons sets. I would suspect that each piston will be strong enough to supply 300hp per cylinder. Obviously thats far more than this engine will be able to hold for a long time if ever.

Don

hey Don I've never replaced pistons for turbo charging a car so I have a few questions.
Lets say you are running 4 psi from your kit... the stock compression gives you around 215whp what can you expect out of this new compression ratio if you run the same set up?

would you say that this piston would yield better torque numbers?

Even though I am not currently in the market for something like this, it really makes me happy to see development ramping up quickly across the board.

Very cool though. Nice to see things moving ahead.

The OP sad these would lower it to somewhere between 10:1 to 10.5:1.

If you keep the same boost but lower the compression, you'll lose power. The point of a lower compression piston is being able to run more boost reliably. I would't be surprised to see 14lbs boost or more with those pistons.

If you ran less compression ratio with the forged pistons. You would lose around 10-15whp would be my guess. However, you'll be able to add lots of boost to compensate

2JZ-GTE has 8.5 and can hit +30PSI with the right turbo. lower compression ratio will alow alow for a lot more power.

makes sense. soo if you are not looking for crazy numbers you can stay with the stock pistons just fine?
I would be very happy with 250 WHP
