Cold Air Intake for 2013 BRZ
Hey I'm running a 2013 BRZ with Magnaflow catback exhaust. Any recommendations for a certain cold air intake product would be appreciated!
Currently considering a K&N one as that's what we've been putting on all our trucks. Let me know what you guys would recommend! Thanks

You will need to tune your car to get any real advantage from installing an intake.
Part of the reason I just went with a drop in K&N filter and a silicone inlet tube.

I'll keep that in mind. I actually forgot to mention I already have the K&N filter installed as well, which leads me to ask, do clean yours? And if yes how often? I'm new to the whole car stuff ahaha.

Depending on your environment and miles driven it could need cleaned more often than I clean mine. I check mine out every time I clean my engine bay, and clean it when it looks dirty. I used to live in the country, and had mice building nests everywhere in my car, including in my intake. Luckily they never ate my stock filter. They did eat a 3" hole in my trucks air filter though.
Don't use compressed air, it can degrade the filter. My best friend used to work at a motorcycle shop and gave me a bottle of this that I use. (follow the directions on the bottle) via Imgflip Meme Generator

Drop in filter and elbow... If you must aftermarket, Grimmspeed is the only setup to demonstrate proper function without lots of tune shenanigans.

The stock air box is already very well designed and there is really nothing to be gained from changing it. You will get the same gains from a decent drop in high flow that you will from changing the whole intake. Take a look at your filter. Is it really dirty all over? Is there actual debris in it? Can you see light through it? A dirty filter is usually pretty easy to see. If it is then clean it (if a reusable), oil it (if an oiled filter) or replace it.

The best cold air intake is headers. Changes the tone of the car and actually adds power. I loved it on my 2013 and it was the only NA mods that did anything noticable to the olee butt dyno

From what I read the skunk2 power box will give gains that are stackable with other mods. Too much pain in the ass for 5hp though imo.

A second hand airbox from a '17+ manual and a drop in filter should be cheap and effective.

I have the Perrin CAI. It frees up alot of wasted space and goes into the front bumper to suck in fresh cold air.
