Plastidip and Vinyl Help

Searched the forums couldnt find an asnwer so here we go.

I have seen vehicles with the plastidip and i am not crazy about how it looks. It reminds me of a spray on bedliner I may be wrong but is that always how it comes out or is it possible to get it to look like paint or vinyl? any side effects to putting it on the car?

Usually I end up getting parts of the car painted but with the FRS I would like to go a CF look on the roof trunk and hood. I know they will have CF in these parts but I am not paying $2500+ for the roof so vinyl is my best bet.

How does the CF vinyl look and how hard is an install on our roof? Also if I want to remove the vinyl will there be a glue residue left on the car that will need to be cleaned?

Any other info I should know about the pro and con of vinyl would be appreciated

If you are trying to go the plastidip route and want it to look good, (and thanks for reminding me because I want to do my roof as well), check out this.

I have my BRZ PlastiDip'd. It did not turn out like a vinyl wrap but you can make it that way if you like. Mine's not like a bed liner either. Hard to explain. It's smooth but has a tiny bit of texture.

If you go the vinyl wrap way, there's adhesive remover that you'll use when you pull the vinyl. No worries there.

I'm (still) in the process of peeling it. I laid it down too thin and I'm finding I have to spray more to get it thick enough to peel. It is cool how you can just go over previous layers, regardless of how long they've been on the car.

Looks like Batman. But I personally dont think those wheels or wheel gap goes with the color of the plastidip

I've since gone to black RPF1's. Got some coilovers coming to fix the gap.

Probably going to move to staggered 18's. (8.5/9.5)
