200TW summer tires + freezing weather okay to install?

Hi, I've searched but haven't found a definitive answer

I have a new set of Ventus RS4s on new wheels and have some time off over next few days and was hoping to install. The weather here has been unseasonably cold and forecast is calling for temperatures dipping below freezing at night, going up to 5C or 40F during the day

Just wondering if there is any harm in installing these with the freezing temps over night. I have heard the soft rubber shouldn't be exposed to these temperatures and could be damaged. Obviously grip will be down but I don't plan on driving very far, just hoping to get the install out of the way as long as it wont hurt the rubber out in the cold

Thanks for any help

From tire rack
Quote:
Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels, or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.
Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Extreme Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. While compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

I wouldn't care so much about state of tires, as to safety of myself and car. Crash damage repair may cost much more then what tire set costs. If there are temps below freezing during nights, there still one may stumble upon some formed during night from moisture in air black ice in first half of day on roads. Better garage car with summer tires to when lowest temps during night-day get above 5C.

This is what I thought, the cold isn't great for the compound, guess I'll be waiting to make the install
