Blitz sandwich plate issues?

Installed sandwich plate, made sure to use some oil so the o-ring on the bottom of the plate doesn't bind. My two sensors I have installed into the plate have Permatex 59235 High Temperature Thread Sealant so they don't leak. The two bolts for the plate and the oil filter threads are torqued down to 25ft/lbs.

My problem is I have a massive oil leak somewhere with the plate! It seems like the oil is not draining back into the engine and is some how forcing it out through some where? I have reinstalled this twice, looking for issues I could see both times but I haven't spotted anything, I have also tried a new oil filter only to have the same problem. Now my engine bay is coated in a shit ton of oil and I am left frustrated. Any ideas?

If I put back on the filter by itself and do not use the plate I do not have a leak. So something is leaking with the plate but when I watch it run it only appears to fill up from the bottom of the plate like one of those fancy beer cups at a stadium.

Also keep in mind I have sucked the oil out from the middle of the sandwich plate yet the oil on the outside never drains back in so I think it's safe to say the o-ring is doing it's job.

Edit: After further inspecting it appears that the oil temperature sender was the problem, oil was making it's way out. Going to go back to using teflon tape, ffs.
