nub exhaust qs

I am looking to buy a catback exhaust, specifically Invidia N1. I have a local deal for a used one around 8k miles on it for 350+. Do yall think this is a great deal? And how reliable do yall think it is ok to be?

THANKS

It's a catback. There are no moving parts, so you'd be hard pressed to find an unreliable catback. Its from invidia so it will fit. That price is half off new and you want the N1 so I say pull the trigger

It’s a cat-back exhaust and there’s not really a lot that can go wrong other than increased sound over time, surface rust, and corroding of the fasteners. Muffler packing can break down over time causing the exhaust to get louder, but with only 4,000 miles on this one I suspect you’ll get a lot of use out of it before that’s an issue - and at only $350, who really cares? It’s so cheap, it can be disposable.

The bigger questions are is this the right exhaust model for you and can you live with the minor damage to the left side tip and splitter? The N1 is loud and will likely be unbearable if you pair it with a header, so future plans should be factored in now. Do you like the way the N1 sounds? If not, then this is not a good choice for you - it was definitely not the choice for me. Lastly, if you’re picky or want a perfect car, then buying a damaged exhaust may not be offset by the bargain provided by the low price. These are important questions and ones only you can answer - either way, good luck and let us know what you decide to do.

Like said, if you like the sound of that muffler ...... that one looks to be in good shape.

Hell, it's only a tail pipe and muffler ..... that's under the car .....

Reliable? LOL
Like others said it's a cat back. What's there to fail? Unless they backed into a curb or sidewalk. But that's just cosmetic-ish

If it was me I'll just buy some nice big shiny tips.
Save the money for a nice full exhaust.

Whatt about the muffler bearing?
New catback may or may not come with a replacement and could also need a non OEM size.
