Custom Door Sills

Friends over at www.yospeed.com made some custom engraved door sills on some billeted aluminum which look AWESOME. These were made to match the same dimensions as the OEM ones so there were no fitment issues at all.
The stock door sills were easy to remove, the just popped out and were held in with small clips that you had to pinch to remove. I then wiped down the area underneath with IPA, then these went down with some 3M tape.
If enough people are interested maybe we can get a group buy going. Also available in powder coated in different colors. He also does custom engravings as well. Including FR-S, BRZ, and the 86 logos. For now if interested you have to request them on his contact page HERE until he updates his site.

Answer to both:
It's customized/customizable.

You see, with the "driver", you look down when you get in the car and your like, "Ya, let's go! I got this."

Interesting. I could see one that says:

"First (86 logo) #3 of 86"

Hello everyone,

I haven't had a chance to speak to the moderators or site admins about setting up a vendor account here so I can't make any commercial posting about products I'm developing at the moment, but I'm glad to see that these have received positive feedback.

Regarding the verbiage, the sills will be available with a few stock patterns like the one posted, but I'll also be offering personalized door sills as well. If you want to replace FR-S with your car clubs name, or swap out "driver" for your name, or want to get rid of the lettering all together, it won't be an issue.

They'll be available in a black powder coat finish or brushed aluminum like Dan has.

Once I've spoken with the forum's admins and gotten the OK from them to post up purchasing information, I'll do so.

I appreciate all the feedback! This set is a prototype, so it's not finalized. I'd like to hear more feedback about what people want the sills to say on them, and possibly other factors that might be changed in the final production sets.

Awesome sauce! Like how much customization can we do? How much text, what kind of logo. I would love to be able to design it myself if you have a template that we can start from

If you know how to work in AutoCAD, MasterCam, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or any other vector format rendering application, you can create your own logo or graphic and I can usually convert it to a format readable by our machines.

If you don't have access to that software or don't possess the technical knowledge required to make your own design, we can do lettering in pretty much any standard Windows or open source font available on the web for you.

One thing we can't do is colored lettering. As you can see from Dan's images, the lettering is engraved into the metal, so the lettering will always be silver/metallic in color. The lettering is more visible in the powder coat black finish, but some prefer hand brushed aluminum because of the way it looks.

I just heard back from one of the site's admins, so I'll be posting up more information about our upcoming products and their availability shortly!
