P015A Code

Has anyone had issues with this code appearing before? I have done some searching for it and there is not much information on the code.

I have a 2017 manual with a Tomei UEL header and delicious tune for 91oct. I get this code every now and then. I won’t see it for a couple thousand miles, and then it’ll appear. Once or twice it cleared itself. This time I did notice that it came up right about 40-50 miles after filling up with gas from a QT instead of my normal Shell. Maybe this is coincidence? Any help would be appreciated.

I have checked the header twice for leaks. First was a visual check with soapy water. Second was me undoing all bolts and retorquing them. If this isn’t a fueling issue, I’ll take the header off completely tonight to inspect the gaskets and use copper gasket sealer as an extra step when installing.

Edit: here is a cruising log a few days before the code showed up. I can upload one tonight with the code if it doesn’t clear itself. https://datazap.me/u/barefootdan/log...7?log=0&data=6

Thanks!
Dan

A quick Google pulls up:

If the O2 sensor in question fails to cycle as rapidly and/or regularly as expected, over a set period of time and under certain predetermined circumstances, a P015A code will be stored and a malfunction indicator lamp may be illuminated.

Possibly a sign the O2 sensor is on it's way out?

That sounds like a good culprit. Easy fix to test as well. Thanks

Just an update for anyone who runs into this. I checked my header again for any leaks with some soapy water. None found. No soot or blackness around the header either. I filled up with shell 91 and about 75 miles later the light went off. Either my car hates QT gas or this is a huge coincidence!

Helped a guy on the weekend with that code in the track parking lot. Did a visual and his secondary O2 sensor was so loose you could spin it!
