So, guys, I'm just testing waters here. I have just completed my masters with a specialization in CFD. I kind of believe that I along with a couple of friends can make quite good front splitters and other aero stuff for half the price of whats going on in the market. So my question is, as we don't have a brand name yet, will anyone even show any interest to buy a front splitter and underbody body panels made from Carbon Fiber for half the price? I mean we are not trying to make any profit here, we are ready to present the bills of everything we buy to make those parts too. We are just trying to get into the market as a project. Splitters and underbody panels reduce the drag co-eff more than a spoiler on our cars as proven by many people already. That's the reason we want to start there. We have big plans for the future though. Making 10 parts together will share the costs. We will design and will do a CFD analysis of all parts. Please let me know what do you think about this idea. Thanks for reading and sorry if I have wasted your time.
Peace. |

I'd be interested in them. But in terms of heat dispersion, isn't that something the underbody panels do as well?

As far as I know, nope. These panels will be right under the seat portions of the vehicle. They actually reduce the road noise too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You have piqued my interest. Any plans on creating a rear diffuser? Not a huge fan of a lot of the designs currently out there

Interested here as well, as a mold of the RS 2.0 front splitter in carbon fiber would be awesome!

Speaking as someone that has designed race car parts, carbon breaks, and becomes shrapnel. I'd suggest a layer of Kevlar, or a carbon/Kevlar weave for these types of panels.
