Titanium grill replacement.

I had an idea for the FR-S. What about replacing or covering the black mesh grill with a smoked titanium mesh. I like titanium because it is not as bright as chrome or stainless and can be made relatively dark in tone.

It would be metal, but it would be dark and have low reflectivity. I think that a manufacturer could develop either a replacement piece or a cover that would fit over the existing mesh while maintaining the air flow. It would require a lot of precision, but I think it would look great. What do you guys think?

I like the idea, but I would want it to be the same color black. the current mesh seems pretty flimsy, I'm assuming for weight purposes.

Do you have any idea as to how much that would cost?

Placing another grill over the stock grill is going to affect flow negatively unless the additional grill lines up perfectly over where the stock grill currently sits.

You're better off anodizing or powder coating like on an Exige. Which, I'd add, gets chipped to hell VERY fast... so my vote would be anodizing.

You could use duct tape to hold it on.

Nah man, use them "JDM" and "Illest" with some "hellaflush" stickers to hold it down. Not only does it stick but it adds horsepower yo

But all in all, I like the idea that OP is trying to show us
