Exhaust tips

How did yall get the stock tips on the 2017 to be flush with the bumper cutouts? I tried moving mine out by loosening the nut and adjusting to the edge, but by the time it gets flush, theres no more exhaust pipe for the bolt to tighten up against. :/

This response makes no sense whatsoever.

You've got a few options. If all you care about is the aesthetic, the easiest and cheapest fix is to measure the OD of your exhaust pipe, and get a pair of couplers at your local auto parts store that fit snug over the existing muffler piping, and snug into the OEM tips, then cut a slit on each side and use an exhaust clamp to clamp it on, and clamp the OEM tip on. The end look is very similar to the JDM exhaust tips.

It's an easy, cheap, reversible way to do it.

I did this on my oem exhaust to improve aesthetics before getting an aftermarket catback.

Maybe I should offer to hand carry JDM exhaust tips back.

Last month in Osaka I ran across 3 different Up Garages with them in stock, price was ~$10 to $30 USD.

well shoot, at @ $200 for "tips" from perrin or mxp or whatever, I might as well get the catback...but i was just wondering if i had an isolated case where the pipe was too short or something. I could just get it welded to the end of the pipe too and they'd be flush. LOL
