New BRZ

Just traded my 2002 WRX, owned since new, for a 2017 BRZ Limited. Wha a fun car this far. So far I’m really enjoying this fun little car. Worlds apart from the AWD, rumbling fire breathing S**t can that was my WRX.

For sure, it’s nice to be back in a proper sport car. RWD a real torsen LSD, and a good 6spd too.

The bug eye was fun, got it new in 02, it had 191k on the clock when I got rid of it. Strangely the engine and transmission were original having never been rebuilt. I drive it hard but did not over drive it, I knew its limitations. I do miss the sound of that EJ205 and it’s Turbocharged speed. All the mods I added did come at a cost of money and in some cases reliably, however. Those mods and a tuning did give me 265 to the wheels.

I have no plans, aside from a Head Unit upgrade, to do any mechanical upgrades to my BRZ, too pricy with very little gains and potential issues.

The 17’ BRZ Limited has all the goodies I wanted and wished Subaru had offered on my WRX, and those Seats, my god do I like the seats. My WRX seats were terrible.
