Just Curious What does everyone think about the 'Hellcrate' as a swap option
Just came accross the 'Hellcrate' on carscoops and was curious on what everyone thinks about the viability / merit in using this as an engine swap option:
http://www.carscoops.com/2017/10/hel...-launches.html {Just to clarify, for my build I have no intention of doing any sort of engine swap unless my FA20 blows.} |

For the amount of money and time it would cost to do this swap, you'd probably be better off just buying a hellcat

Different things make different sense to different people with different amounts of disposable $$$.
If I take it as a given that I am going to build an FRS with silly power levels, and I have the mean$ to do so, then the Hellcrate engine makes perfect sense. If I take it as a given that I want the prestige of a unique "Never done before" FRS swap, and I have the mean$ to do so, then the Hellcrate engine makes perfect sense. If I am flat out broke but bound and determinedg to cobble together as much power as possible under the hood of an FRS for as little $$$ as possible, then the Hellcrate engine makes no sense. Hello Ford small block. |

I think it only make sense if you want something unique. Would spend less on a fully built LS + Supercharger and make more power.
