Super Low, Normal, Medium, and Hyper?

I am looking at getting SSR professor SP1 wheels. i want
18X9 in back
18X8 in front

which disc option should i go with and what is the max offset i can go?

any help would be great, i am open to different sizes as well, but would not like to go smaller/thinner.

I would probably go +35 in front, +40 in the rear but thats definitely not the max you could go. This is 18x9 +40 on the rear.

Have you looked at the new Rota D2 EX? It is similar but without the multipiece look and probably less than half the price, not sure when they will be out though.

Yeah don't buy those high quality forged wheels. Buy the ripoff cast version of them!

Honestly for street-use, even track-use, the Rota's will be just fine with the speeds of the FR-S/BRZ.

Of course - but I don't go around selling out of my pocket.

Some people appreciate high end brands and parts.

I appreciate them but i'm not going to put $3k wheels or $2500 coilovers on a $25k car that is my daily driver. Rota's aren't exactly cheap either i can get the rotary forged TSW's cheaper than the Rotas.

Rota's are very cheap. You just get dinged on shipping.

If you think that cost of a part proportionate to the MSRP or value of a car has any meaning then you're a (sorry for the bluntness) bit half-hearted as a car enthusiast.

There's people running cars I am sure they paid less than 5k for and have a parts list 10x that or more.

If someone buys an AE86 for 2000 and puts 2000 worth of wheels on it then are they a bleeding idiot?

Sorry to the OP for the threadjack but i agree that quality parts are worth it you won't see any ebay crap on my car but you won't see $3k wheels either i just can't spend money like that although i wish i could.

Stick with the SSRs.

Normal disk 18x9 +38 in the back would fit pretty flush.

18x8 +38 in the front I think would be fine as well. But if youre going to lower it I would go with these sizes

18x9 +38
18x9.5 +38

Maybe 225/40 F
245/40 R

Normal disk for stock brakes

Go with the normal disk just to be safe. I made the mistake of ordering SSR's for my IS300 with super low disks all around, and I couldn't put on the fronts without the spacer because the rim would rub the spokes of the wheel big time.
