Will these wheels fit?

Hello, I plan on getting 17x9 RPF1s with 255/40/17 tires. Will I need to roll my fenders or get coilovers?

Potentially coil-overs, or at least spacers in the front.

I hear 245/40 tires cut it close. The tires might be too wide and rub on the stock strut in the front. Coil-over struts are often narrower, so you don't run into this problem.

I am not speaking from experience, so potentially someone else with this actual set-up can give you a more direct answer.

Read these:

tl;dr some people have run +35 on OE without much issue (might be too close for comfort for some), +45 will rub OE diameter springs/struts (or be too close for comfort at least, coilovers fix this) as well as the fender liner at full lock, the +45 issues can be fixed with a spacer if you have the length on the studs.

Thanks, I'm looking to get the +45 so I'll read up on that.

I have TR Motorsport 17x9 +45 and 245/40 tires. I need a 3mm spacer up front and they clear enough to never rub. 245 is plenty of tire.
