Edelbrock needs a development car for their E Force supercharger

Hi, is there anyone here from LA county or surrounding with a MY 2017 manual car that would be down to have Edelbrock use for development? If so, please contact them. I did through Facebook under edelbrock performance. Really want this kit up and running with warranty on my car!

From reading the edelbrock thread, there is a little fitment issues, not just tuning.

Hope I don't get in trouble for posting a very similar post in the edelbrock thread, I figure that it also needs a post in this regional forum to get the word out. Am I wrong? If so sorry, this is my second post ever.

Go for it! Or if anything just inquire about it. Read their warranty too. Stuff like since your dealer warranty is void, they take over the 3 year 36000 mile powertrain warranty. Of the top of my head I think its up to $12,000 though.

I believe that both those statements are incorrect; the warranty on your car is not void just because you install a Edelbrock SC. For example, if you have issues with your window seal, they're not going to 'void' your warranty and not fix them because of a SC. The dealer may deny a warranty claim if they feel that the installation of the SC is the cause of the issue.

Edelbrock doesn't 'take over' the powertrain warranty either. They provide a supplemental warranty - details here:
http://www.edelbrock.com/fa20/downlo...l-warranty.pdf

Note that using a tune other than the one supplied by Edelbrock may result in coverage denial.

Not that I know of. The web page asking for development cars is still up asking for a car.

cool and all... I went ahead and asked for the heck for it. Since they're very much near me. And according to them costs of participating is a little over 4 grand.

Now I used to work for a Japanese Parts Manufacturer and whenever we do R&D and test parts on cars. We either leave the parts installed in the car as a thank you for letting us borrow the car... or we would give % off on the parts... I'm not saying they should give the parts for free. I was actually expecting they would give you at least half off for the time :p

I don't know if they word(ed) it wrong... but costs to participate sounds like I have no choice to pay it if they need to use my car.

Dam. So did they mean $4k for the supercharger installed and running? Not bad but still not that great of a deal for having your car being the development car. Did they also tell you a timeframe?

It's been over a year since the original post. Is Edelbrock not supporting 2017 brz?
