Rays lug nuts

I came to NTB to get my other installed and was just told by the guy who is installing the tires and said those lug nuts are no good because are just for good one use. They said those are so light and thin that he feels like he should not do the install since it is a hazard. He did install, but they where so light and do feel kind of thin.

Anyone have been told this? Is this even true?

Thanks,

Garage
If they tighten them with the usual air gun, cranked up to 11 as usual because who reads torque charts, they will most certainly not last long.

Torqued properly to ~90Ft*lbs with a hand torque wrench, they'll be just fine.

Are they aluminum or steel? If they're aluminum, he might me confused cause he's never held lug nut that light.
