Turbo kit questions (SBD400X)

Planning to go turbo sometime in the not so distant future and was talking to FT86motorsports but naturally they're a busy bunch and I don't wanna be an annoying twat with my questions, so I thought I'll ask those of you that have a turbo kit fitted. So I told them the car is a DD, not to be tracked, I would just like the extra power for overtaking, spirited driving, and that's pretty much it. They recommended the SBD400X. My only concern is that they said the front pipe and the overpipe get changed up and they're catless? I have no idea about the exhaust parts or what they do or how they work. What I gleaned from my conversation with them is that the emissions will change (this is fine), the exhaust will be much more stinky (dislike this) and loud (also dislike). Sooo is there an option to leave these parts alone? How much more stinky does the exhaust become and what is the noise like? I ordered a Corsa exhaust, which is a 2.5", just so you have an idea. Any insight would be much appreciated.

You are not obligated to change out the over and front pipe. The only exhaust piece that will be changed out of necessity is your exhaust manifold/header in place of the turbo manifold. It would behoove your power output to opt for a more performant replacement...but it does not have to be without a catalytic converter. I personally am a proponent of having at least one high flow cat in a street car.
