Jiggly hood?
Anyone else notice when driving at highway speeds the hood jiggling a little bit?
It doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes I notice the hood jiggling. It kinda looks like the wind is blowing it up and down. It's not huge but I wondered if something is loose. Anyone else? |

They all do that sir.
Be more imaginative in your angsting over nothing. Search for the endless, endless, endless previous efforts. No embarrassment about stupidity here. Google is better than using the forum search engine. Good luck in your endeavours. I don't think lightning strikes has been done here but money shifting is a laugh. |

It didn't bother me too much TBH, I just thought maybe something was loose that needed to be corrected. I'm not sure if other cars do this too, but I've never noticed it on any other car I've driven... but that could be the ride position in this car vs. more normal cars. If It's normal then all is good. |

There's a rubber stop under each front corner, you can screw it in or out to put a bit of pressure on the hood and reduce vibrations.

I had to think for a minute to try to come up with what "jiggly hood" might mean. Nice to know it means "jiggly hood" and not fat ho.
I never noticed my FR-S doing that. Now I'm going to be watching the 86 for it. [ame="http://youtu.be/jbO_CaGJXZ4?t=201"]http://youtu.be/jbO_CaGJXZ4?t=201[/ame] |

well since our twins have the buldge over the fenders you can see a little bit of action with the hood but it really isn't different from any other car I've driven..

For your peace of mind, you might check to see if the hinge and latch bolts/nuts are tight. You can duplicate that effect by holding a piece of tin foil with both hands out on your deck on a windy day ...... ![]() humfrz |
