Inazuma / Series Yellow - Aftermarket wheels
I have been looking around for answers as to wheels that would fit the BRZ with the performance package. I would like to get a second set for my track days but even the dealership can't tell me if the 17" accessory STI wheels for the BRZ would fit.
The wheel places around here don't have any information on the fitment with the performance package to clear the Brembo brakes, but everyone says "special order, no returns or refunds" so obviously I won't buy something no one can guarantee a fit. Help would be appreciated. My only other option appears to be dumping over $2200CDN to buy another set of OEM wheels or just tracking in the Primacy HP tires until they wear out and I can get new ones. Looking at sticking to 17"x7.5 or 17"x8, not looking for wider rubber than stock (225 max probably), just grippier. I like the stock handling, just need to be able to swap from track tires to road trip tires. To make things more challenging, I am in Canada where we don't seem to have a lot of good aftermarket availability comparatively. Thanks in advance for any advice. The BRZ performance pack calipers aren't unusually large as far as big brake kits go. There are plenty of aftermarket wheels that will fit.
You might take a look at the Wheel Directory pages for the Enkei RPF1 and Wedsport TC105N. Those are popular track wheels for our cars, and they come in a variety of widths and offsets. There are plenty of people using those wheels with big brake kits. 949 Racing 6UL wheels are also popular track wheels, although I don't see anything in our Wheel Directory. @CounterSpace Garage sells them. I'm sure they could help you find track wheels that will fit. If you'd consider BBS RF wheels ($515 USD each), I can measure the clearance. I know they have tons of clearance. They fit the AP Racing Sprint brakes with room to spare. You'd need to find a caliper template for your brakes. Also, I don't know if you are considering autocross or not, but your wheel width may affect what class your car is in. Might be something else to consider before purchasing.
