Kosei K4R 17x7.0 +50

I picked up a used set of Kosei K4R wheels for street-class autocross. I don't see these listed in the wheel directory yet, so I figured I'd make a thread in case anyone else is considering these wheels.

Specs:
- 17x7.0"
- +50mm offset
- 5x100 bolt pattern (Note: The wheels have the text "5x114.3" cast into the front. I have seen this on several sets of K4R wheels. It's just the way it is. The label on the wheel barrel says 5x100).
- 14.0 lbs according to TireRack. My bathroom scale says 14.2 lbs (without wheel weights or center cap).
- 9 spokes
- Made in Japan
- Tilt-cast spokes and flow-formed barrel

As of March 2017, you can purchase these new from TireRack for $199 each.

That's very light for cast wheel. And at such budget price. Would be nice to see offset at least no less then stock though.

I agree. I was planning to get RPF1's since they have the minimum street-class legal offset of +42mm offset. However, this set came up locally for $200 and I couldn't pass them up. Everyone else has RPF1s, anyway. I am seriously considering getting some extended studs and 5mm spacers to get to +45mm. But that is ~$120, which further erodes the savings I realized by getting these used Koseis instead of new Enkeis.

Kosei K4R 17x8 +36 have been in the Directory for nearly 5 years. There are threads on your exact wheel. Your search foo is not strong

Didn't realize that a +50 offset was the same as a +36 offset. Or that a 7" wheel is the same as an 8" wheel

I never said it was. There are threads for this exact wheel that are 3 years old so my point is that it isn't new or a surprise
