what is the best shop in the fort lauderdale area

I want to have a super charger installed and have a few minor things fixed. Is there one that has a bunch of experience installing the super chargers and tune them?

Who do you suggest for my DD car. I can not have it break on me. I want it installed and I maintain it well and not have problems. Who is good at this?

Thanks,

PS... I might even be willing to offer up my car as a test car for a new kit.

Test car and needing it every day (and reliable at that) dont go hand in hand.

Maybe try this sticky for a shop though

I was joking about the test car thing. I need a reliable supercharger and a reliable shop.

Again, reliable and FI don't exactly go together.

"Very" reliable is a bit broad. By adding FI in any form you increase risk. Risk in turn reduces the probability of reliability. You have to understand that the level of risk has increased and be able to accept and be prepared that you are more likely to have something go horribly wrong.

Of course the chance for issues rises. I spoke to 2 people who have the edelbrock SC and both of them said they have had no issues at all. They both DD the car. The cars have done about 30k and 60k miles after getting the SCers installed. I only want to get the HP to about 250. Everything I am reading says the motor and tranny can handle up to 350HP reliably without modifications. Some people say it can even handle up to 500hp, which I find very hard to believe without completely rebuilding the motor and tranny. There is always a risk though of course. The goal is to minimize the risk ask much as possible. If I find that the 2 people I spoke to are the exception and most people have issues then the car stays NA.

Ya, 2 isn't a very big sample size at all. If you can live with the risk then go for it. Your statement in the opening post "I can not have it break on me" made it seem that you could not take any risk.

I would say if you are near boca raton you could always go with velocity factor. Felipe is the shop owner and they do quality work. I took my 350z there when I had it. Also in Fort lauderdale you can always go to dynamic turbo. They installed a NX express kit on my old second gen eclipse and tuned it. This was many moons ago and the eclipse has since passed away but not do to the work they did.

Excellent, thanks for the info. I can not find anyone who has dealt with the shops around here.
